LED Neon Flex

Traditional glass neon has been the mainstay of commercial lighting for decades, providing a rich, vibrant source of light for commercial buildings and signs. Despite its attractive features it has numerous drawbacks, including the large amount of energy it requires, the extremely high voltage power supplies, and being hand drawn glass it is extremely fragile. LED neon flex overcomes all of these drawbacks by combining the energy efficiency of high output SMD LEDs encased in a UV and chemical resistant PVC that acts to diffuse the light mimicking the effect of neon. Unlike neon, however, LED Neon Flex can be shaped and bent by anyone without the need for special tools or skills, the low voltage 24V DC alternative can be cut every 100 - 150mm (depending on model) and can operate of a plug in power supply. Unlike traditional neon - LED Neon Flex is not just available in single colours, with RGB NeonFlex cable of producing up to 16 million colour variations, the new Dynamic DMX version expands further on this and allows for exciting colour chasing effects. LED strip lighting FAQ

12V or 24V LED strip: which should I choose?

24V strip runs longer distances with less voltage drop, so it suits most runs over about 3 m and larger installs. 12V suits short runs, vehicles, boats and battery systems. Always match the strip voltage to the power supply.

What do IP ratings mean for LED strip?

IP20 strip is for dry indoor areas only. IP65 is silicone coated and splash resistant for kitchens, bathrooms and sheltered outdoor areas. IP67 and IP68 are fully sealed for outdoor or submersible use.

Which colour temperature should I pick?

2700K to 3000K is warm white for living areas and hospitality, 4000K is natural white for kitchens, retail and workspaces, and 6000K to 6500K is cool white for task and display lighting. CCT strips let you adjust between warm and cool.

Can LED strip be cut to length?

Yes. Only cut on the marked cut lines printed on the strip, then reconnect with solder or a compatible connector. Waterproof strip needs resealing at the cut with an end cap and silicone.
